Ashish Shah is a focused leader, entrepreneur and the co-founder and CEO of Pepperfry, a leading online marketplace for furniture and home décor in India. He co-founded the company in 2012 alongside Ambareesh Murty.In 2011, Ashish left his position at eBay Motors to venture into entrepreneur- ship. In January 2012, he and Ambareesh Murty launched Pepperfry with a team of 12 members. The name "Pep- perfry" was chosen for its distinct Indian identity and a touch of fun. The company received initial funding of $5 million from Norwest Venture Partners India. Before becoming CEO, Ashish served as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Pepperfry, overseeing operations and product management. In September 2023, following the untimely demise of Ambareesh Murty, Ashish was appointed as the new CEO of Pepperfry.
